The Faces Behind the Business: Q&A with an Intercash Employee

August 11, 2020 - While many people know about Intercash and our global payment solutions, there are a lot of people working hard behind-the-scenes in order to make your card program a success. In this article, we are speaking with Senior Business Development Executive, Alex Evangelidis.

What is your role at Intercash?

I work on the sales team as a Senior Business Development Executive.

What does your job entail?

My job requires me to have a complete understanding of our clients' needs and build a solution that can fit their goals from both an operational and financial standpoint. We have the luxury of working with some of the most innovative partners in today's fintech industry and can we provide a custom payment solution for any business seeking alternative payment methods.

How long have you worked at Intercash?

I have been working at Intercash for almost five years now.

What do you like most about your job?

The people, the freedom and the pressure. Our staff and team are unlike any other I’ve ever worked with. We have a strong connection to each other and a very positive culture at the office. I also love my position and the freedom I have to figure out the optimal solution for each and every new business case and the pressure that comes along with that. Learning about new industries and businesses every day keeps things fresh and interesting.

What is your favorite memory from work?

My first ever conference was a great experience as I got to see a different side of the business and put a face to many of the contacts I had been speaking with since the start of my career. Due to the international nature of our business, phone calls are the norm, so having the chance to work in real-time, in person was refreshing. The pressures and high paced action that come with conferences was also a very exciting experience.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

Anything outdoors and anything competitive!

What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I lived in Europe for about 6 months while studying abroad.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

I always wanted to have the ability to freeze time, and anyone I touched while time was frozen would be able to experience the same thing. Having more time is something I think everyone chases!
